«The penguin» by Matt Bissett-Johnson

The Penguin, by Australian cartoonist Matt Bissett-Johnson, is the very short story of a meeting, that does not go as expected, between a humanoid figure and an untamed free penguin, in the middle of a 3d desert.

This very short animated film is an example of how, by stepping outside the box, one can experiment with irony, a pinch of cynicism, and a handful of polymers – and obtain a fair result.
The graphics may be rough, but the comic timing is just perfect. It didn’t make me snort out my nose, it literally made me laugh!

Definitely keep an eye on Bissett-Johnson’s next work if you are in search of free, experimental, minimal fun.
