“PEREGRINATION” by SCHIKHUR

“PEREGRINATION” by SCHIKHUR

This short by SCHIKHUR is overall very interesting, because it is a mixture of a lot of different genres: from horror film to drama to social and political filmmaking, it is able to create a dantesque trip that its leading character follows, from darkness to light, trying to liberate himself from the boundaries and the traps of a symbolic kidnapping that is typical of our age.

Directed, shot, edited, acted by SCHIKHUR, an all-around polyhedral artist, it is a film that conveys a profound message of mind control and liberation in our society: encaged and trapped in a room where there is no light and a voice tells you that you cannot stand up or you will get killed, the main character will look for a way to escape inside himself, showing the spectator a metaphor of his own imprisonment that is both self-inflicted and wanted by the society we live in.

Delivering a powerful message of liberation, “PEREGRINATION” by SCHIKHUR is a very interesting independent film from an artist we’re curious to see again.
